I grew up in Vermont on a dairy farm, where responsibility, routine, and hard work were simply part of everyday life. By high school, I was working both on and off the farm, learning independence early and valuing the effort behind every dollar earned. My journey later took me to New York City, where I balanced education, a career in the fashion industry, marriage, and raising three children. Twenty years ago, our family moved to Morocco, where we welcomed a fourth child and I spent fifteen years working in education as an Athletics and Activities Director—surrounded by structure, community, and young people I loved being around. In May 2025, as our youngest graduated high school, my husband and I retired and became empty nesters at the same time. After a lifetime shaped by responsibility and giving my full heart to family and work, Retire Mint is where I explore this slower, meaningful next chapter—alongside my best friend of nearly 35 years.
